History of
the cowherd...
We purchased the mature cowherd from Perks Ranch to start our Red Angus
program. The history of this cow herd is rich in
performance genetics of the Red Angus breed. The
foundation of the herd is from the von Forell herd of
Wyoming. Perks Ranch purchased one half of the von
Forell herd in 1997. The addition of RBJR Advance A709
to this cow herd has produced astonishing results. This
combination has produced such sires as Perks Advancer
9088, Perks Advance 105R, Perks Advance 121R, and Perks
Advance 234R. Through the use of AI, this cow herd has
produced such standouts as Reserve National Champion
Perks Chateau 309R and most recently Perks GTO 406R and
Perks Pure Gold 416R. The dams of all these great young
sires are a part of the Coley Cattle Company program and
staples of our cowherd. We invite you to watch the
culmination of this genetic base and join us as we
gratefully and confidently take on the future of this
great bred of cattle! Look for the Coley prefix on your
next herd building prospect!
Cow
Herd...
The cowherd at Coley Cattle Company is second to none and the backbone of
our program. We at Coley Cattle Company feel that no
pure bred cattle program is any better than their
weakest cow. At Coley Cattle Company every cow is good
enough to raise a herd bull or she does not stay. It is
her job to produce herd sires and front pasture cows for
the Red Angus breed.

and other great cows.
