About Coley Cattle
Company
As manager of Perks Ranch from 1993 till 2005, it became
plain to see that we had assembled one of the most
influential cowherds in the Red Angus breed. The
direction of Perks Ranch changed its course, and the
opportunity presented itself to purchase these cows and
start our own program. We knew what direction this
opportunity would lead us, and as a family, we could not
have been more excited.
Even though we are a new name in the industry, Coley Cattle Company
represents the forth generation of breeding purebred
cattle. Tommy was preceded as a purebred cattle breeder
by his dad, Clyde Coley and his grand father Van
Harrison Coley of Lafayette, Tennessee. Kim is a native
of Rockford, Illinois and is active in the day to day
operations of the ranch. Matt, our oldest son, recently
graduated in Ag Business from the University of
Wisconsin at Platteville. Matt joined the staff of Coley
Cattle Company in June 2006 and lives on our Keosauqua
farm. Our daughter Shea is a senior at Middle Tennessee
State University in Animal Science; Erin is a senior at
Texas A&M University majoring in Animal Science, Will is
a junior at Milliken University playing football and
majoring in Sports Management, and Kristi is a sophomore
at the University of Illinois in Ag Business and
Finance.
